freaking out/ or hiv
Feb 18, 2008

hi, i had a risky exposure with an hiv guy. i have tested out to six month, but i still have burning tongue, pain underarm mild, and never did gain the weight loss in my face, driving me nuts. im sick of getting hiv test. oh and i had a skin infection on my arm. now my butt feels like is burning. freaking out or hiv?

Response from Dr. Frascino

Hi,

Freaking out or HIV? That would be freaking out; definitely freaking out.

A negative FDA-approved HIV test outside the window period trumps "symptoms" each and every time. See your doctor if you are having persistent problems. One thing is certain: the cause of those problems is not HIV, OK?
