what exactly are extenuating circumstances?? pls advise

Jan 4, 2008

dr bob.. you keep saying that a 3 month antibody test is conclusive unless there are extenuating circumstances.. what exactly would those be??.. would sex w a stripper/masseuse unprotected be one? would vaginal intercourse where you are not sure if the condom was used properly or not be?? pls clear this up for me if you can.. thank you for all of your help on this site.. a donation has been made...

Response from Dr. Frascino

Hi Mike,

Neither unprotected sex with a stripper/masseuse nor vaginal sex where you are not sure if the condom was used properly qualifies as "extenuating circumstances," OK? Examples of extenuating circumstances would be taking immunosuppressive drugs or having hypogammaglobulinemia.

Thanks for your donation (

Be well Mike.

Dr. Bob
