|streptacoccus infection of a throat
Oct 18, 2007
Dr. Bob, I was tested for strep throat. Along with that I noticed changes in body shape, it looks like it got narrower. I also have fatigue, sometimes general weakness and irritation on my cheeks. It looks like they constantly get red and flaky. I've been horrified thinking of hiv. Indeed I got 5 rapid tests over 6 months, which came back negative. Can I trust these rapid oraquick, even though having these symptoms? Thank you very much!

Streptococcus is a common bacterium that has absolutely nothing to do with HIV/AIDS.
Five negative rapid tests out to six months which, I might add, are four more than you needed are definitive and conclusive. HIV is not your problem. No way. No how. Whatever is causing your symptoms, one thing is certain: it's not HIV, OK?
