HIV Origins Truth or Dare?
Sep 11, 2007
Dr. Bob: Truth or Dare? What can you say is really the case as to why HIV was originated? We've all heard urban myths about this but one that I had not heard before is the CIA / Hep B vaccine connection whereas a holocaust survivor was sent to Siberia and was tortured by the KGB and evidently became a valued clinician when it came to Hep. B and he supposedly invented a Hep B vaccine that he supposedly gave to thousands of healthy white gay men in New York and San Francisco. Honestly what does the government know of the origins of the disease?

The CIA/hepatitis B vaccine connection??? Holocaust survivor sent to Siberia, tortured by KGB and then "invented" an HIV/hepatitis B vaccine that he "supposedly gave to thousands of healthy white gay men in New York and San Francisco." Hmmm . . . either you've been adding way too much crazy powder to your protein shakes or you plan to become part of Dubya and Cheney's parallel universe where facts are freely concocted from fantasy.
The origin of HIV/AIDS is now well established. You can read about it in the archives and at many other locations on this and other respectable HIV information sites. For instance, try the NPR: Origin of AIDS Story that can be found at www.thebody.com/content/whatis/art34281.html.
