HIV really doesn't care if you are a "po gay man," a rich gay man, a tranny, a granny or even a GOP hypocrite in a men's room stall at the Minneapolis airport. The risk remains the same and is related only to the type of exposure. So if you use a latex condom properly and it doesn't fail (break), your HIV-transmission risk is essentially nonexistent, even if you've spent more time on your back staring at more ceilings than Michelangelo. Similarly, if you decide to bareback, your risk increases greatly, even if you only get screwed by undercover cops on sting operations. OK?
Stay safe and you'll stay well.
