Expired Condom and Lotion
Sep 2, 2007
I recently had sex with a date using an expired condom. We used lotion as our lube. The condom did not break. I was the top. I know I shouldn't use expired condoms or lotion as lube. What is my risk level?

Dude! Expired condoms and lotion (I'm assuming oil-based)????? You must really enjoy tempting fate!!!?! And you "know (you) shouldn't use expired condoms or lotion or lube" . . . hmmm . . . well, your common sense seems to be like a full six-pack but apparently lacks the plastic thingy that holds it all together! That your condom didn't break is great news (and very lucky, too!). Your risk is negligible at best. If you are concerned, get a single rapid HIV test at the three-month mark, OK? Also, replenish your supply of condoms and Astroglide! Next time you might not be so lucky!
