| PEP or not PEP Aug 1, 2007 Dear Dr Frascino, At a bath house a guy walked out of the steam room and started playing my nipples with his fingers. Soon it became hurtful; I guess perhaps it's becasue he used his finger nails as well. I came home and checked my nipples, and seem to have found a small open cut there. What if he got cum or pre-cum on his nails? I can't help thinking about PEP. Do I have a case for PEP ? |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hello, ". . . it's 'becasue' he used his finger nails . . . ." Hmmm . . . OK, if you say so. PEP or no PEP? The answer is no PEP! Definitely no PEP!!! PEP is to be used for significant HIV exposures, such as unprotected receptive sex with a partner known to be HIV positive. Nipple tweaking at a gay bathhouse would not constitute a significant HIV exposure! Dr. Bob | |||||||||
