| this might sound crazy Jul 17, 2007 is it even remotely realistic to worry about getting HIV while getting your blood taken. i recently had my blood taken 3 different times during a week or 2, one at a health department, once at Labcorp, and one in an emergengy room, and am worried that they could have used dirty needles from an infected person or that the gauze that the lady places on the emergency room bed could have picked up a disease from someone and then was placed on the nick in my skin from the needle. is it crazy to worry about getting HIV from that? i have severe anxiety. |

Hello, Yes and yes! Yes, it sounds (and is) crazy. And yes, you have severe anxiety. Next question! Dr. Bob | |||||||||
