I feel like I'm going crazy. Even though all the answers to my questions say "little" or "no" risk, the remote chance that I may have the infection is gnawing at my brain. I feel like I'm infecting my family by just doing regular day activities like brushing my teeth and taking a shower. I need help. Serious help, but I don't know how to find it.
Response from Dr. Frascino
I agree with your assessment. You are indeed paranoid. I also agree you need help, serious help. It shouldn't be all that difficult to find. You need to see a psychiatrist. Ask your doctor for a recommendation and schedule an appointment. It may also help to bring a copy of your questions and my responses to your first visit to discuss with your psychiatrist. It may help focus your therapy and thereby speed your recovery.
