| Time to be tested Jun 1, 2007 Dear doc Youre such a great and blessed guy! I had sex (sucked a guys penis) with someone possibly positive (a friend of his told me). It lasted about 5 minutes just once. No ejaculation though. Do I have to be tested? After 3 or 6 months since my contact was with someone possibly positive? Stay safe, well and beautiful as you already are! |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hi, Oral sex carries a very low risk for possible HIV transmission. That there was no ejaculation further reduces this already extremely low risk. I would consider a negative test at the three-month mark WOO-HOOable! However, if you remain worried, repeating the test at six months is an option that always remains open to you. Personally, I don't believe it's warranted. Good luck! Dr. Bob | |||||||||
