t-cell count over 1700.
May 13, 2007

been pozitive since 2000. currently taking atripla. my t-cell count keeps on going up and recently it has reached a 1700 mark. i know that a maximum count for non hivers is 1740 t-cells. what happens if t-cell count keeps on going up. and how common is it to have t-cell count above 1700 while on meds?

Response from Dr. Frascino

Hello,

Your T-cell count is still within the normal range and normal is normal! T-cells that are on the high side or even those that exceed the normal range are not worrisome. Many HIVers would love to have your dilemma!

Stay well!

Dr. Bob
