| Negative at 140 days but exteremly tired! Apr 22, 2007 Dear Doctor: I tested HIV negative with a home access ELISA test at 30, 90, and 140 days after receiving oral as well as mutual masturbation with each others semen. My concern is that for the last 3 months I have been extremely tired when I get home from work. I feel drained of energy. I have had no other exposures since the one mentioned. Given the test history, could this be at all related to HIV? |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hello, No, of course not. Your repeatedly negative HIV tests out to 140 days following a low-risk exposure are definitive and conclusive. HIV is not your problem. No way. No how. Most likely your fatigue is related to stress, anxiety, guilt and worry. If you are having difficulty accepting the truly wonderful news that you dodged the HIV bullet, get some professional counseling. You should be WOO-HOOing, not worrying. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
