Transmission of HIV question

Apr 11, 2007

Is it even remotely possible to give a female partner (Heterosexual HIV negative couple.) HIV infection by performing oral sex on her 20 minutes after dining in a restaurant that has HIV positive workers? I know that if the workers use proper hygiene the answer would be no, but this was in a 3rd world country so let's assume they didn't follow safe handling practices.

Response from Dr. Frascino

You wonder if dining in a Third World restaurant and then having dessert at the Y (so to speak) can result in HIV being transmitted from the workers in the restaurant to a female partner via the muncher of both the Third World delicacies as well as the delicacies of the female partner???? Dude, please tell me you're kidding. If HIV were transmitted that easily, it would have wiped out the planet years ago. So you can dine in peace no matter what's on your menu of the moment, OK?

Dr. Bob

Please answer, high risk exposure!!
