| Please answer, high risk exposure!! Apr 11, 2007 Doctor, please answer my question, I really thought I put this behind me but got the worst news of my life and now I am so scared! A year ago (Feb 16, 2006) I did something really dumb, I had unprotected anal sex with a guy of unknown status (I was the bottom). Since that time I have had 3 negative hiv tests, a blood test on May 12, 2006 (about 11 weeks) another on Sept 20th 2006 (7months after) and finally one on Feb 6th 2007 (11 months afterwards) using the home access test kit. All have been negative. I got a message from the guy yesterday saying he is positive and might have been during our encounter a year ago but he's not sure. Are my 3 tests out to 11 months conclusive still? I really dont know what to do and dont know if I should re-test or not! |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hello, Relax, Max. You're fine. Your three negative tests out to 11 months are definitive and conclusive. HIV is not your problem. No way. No how. No further testing is warranted. Stay safe and you'll stay well. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
