Please respond Mar 5, 2007 How long does it take to get HIV ab screening results back? I took a HIV test and it has been 3 wks and still no results. Does that mean they probably did a western blot? Still does it take that long? Worried and concerned |

 Hello, Generally these tests return within a week or so. However, there is variability at different reference labs around the world. I don't know where you are writing from; however, I would suggest this question would be more appropriately put to either the doctor or clinic that ordered the test or the lab that's running it.
