Odds of contracting HIV through protected sex
Mar 5, 2007
What are the odds of contracting HIV through protected vaginal sex with a person known to have the virus? How do those odds change with protected anal sex? I have not been able to find a straight answer on this, and there are many different statistics out there.

Another QTND (Question That Never Dies). The odds of contracting HIV through "protected" sex (vaginal or otherwise) with a poz partner are exactly zero, zilch, none, nada, nyet! That's assuming that "protected" means the latex condom was used properly and did not fail. This answer is not only straight, it's also gay, bisexual, transgendered and curious-questioning and it covers all closeted Republican sex fetishes as well.
