Test required: Protected Virgina But Unprotected Cunnilingus? Jan 21, 2007 Hi Dr. Bob, A quick question, I know that protected virginal intercourse carries essentially no risk for HIV. I done that, but I also did cunnilingus on a prostitute without any protection. I also know that that carries minimal risks for HIV. However, my question is would testing at the 3rd month mark be warranted for my above sexual experience, or, would testing be justifiable just to "alleviate" my fears? Thanks, Dan |

 Hello Dan, "Protected 'virginal' intercourse . . ."????? VIRGINAL???? Yeah, you certainly can't get any safer than that! HIV testing is warranted if you are worried that you may have placed yourself at risk for HIV, even if that risk is slight. Yes, a single HIV test would be "justifiable" to alleviate your fears.
