I had a woo hoo a little over a year ago.. and back in April I did a stupid thing. I was drunk (ugh) and had unprotected receptive sex. He pulled out though and I don't know the guys status. When they pull out how much of a difference does that make? Also do things like KY help in prevention. I know it's probably a dumb question but I heard about spermicide and what not. I really appreciate a response as I am getting tested soon again as I am with the best man ever now and want to be able to be worry free with him. Thanks Dr Bob. U ROCK!:)

Response from Dr. Frascino

Unprotected receptive sex places you at risk for STDs, including HIV. Not ejaculating inside decreases, but does not eliminate, the risk. "KY, spermicides, and what not" are not considered to be preventative. You need an HIV test. Use protection for future sexual escapades. I'm counting on you not to go from Dumb to Dumber, OK?

Good luck with your HIV test and your new Mr. Right.
