Response from Dr. Frascino
Hello Okie, Unprotected sex does place you at risk for STDs, including HIV. Luckily you did not contract the virus! Your partner is presumably HIV negative (if she is being honest about her blood donations) and, most importantly, your 4.5-month HIV test is negative. This is considered to be a definitive result. Consequently HIV is not your problem. No way. No how. Being a redneck or living in one of the square red states in the center of the country does not mean you should not be well versed in HIV prevention. Today (Dec 1) is World AIDS Day. I strongly suggest you spend some time today perusing the wealth of information on this site and at related links, paying particular attention to HIV transmission and safer sexual techniques. It could one day save your life. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
