Dr. Bob,

I recently sent you an email, however, I haven't gotten answer.. but I am really starting to freak out.. On July 24, my ex and I had unprotected anal and vaginal sex.. He then broke up with me a week later, and told me that he had been sleeping with other women for 6 or so months unprotected.. I have had 5 HIV tests all negative 11 days, 6,8,10, 13 weeks.. however my doctor is now ordering an HIV Viral Load test.. What's up with that?? I thought I was negative?? Why do I need another test?? I thought 13 weeks was conclusive?? PLEASE HELP ME.. I am so stressed and upset about all of this.

Response from Dr. Frascino

You are HIV negative. Your five negative HIV tests out to 13 weeks are definitive and conclusive. An HIV viral load test is not indicated. I have no idea why your doctor would order it. You certainly don't need it!

Yell WOOO-HOOO and start celebrating. HIV is not your problem. No way. No how!

Dr. Bob
