Did you know that you are totally wrong?
Sep 28, 2006

A million American women each year get pregnant while using condoms. Doesnt that tell you anything? The chances of getting HIV from getting fucked in 'protected' versus unprotected sex is only a difference of about 1/3. Yes, condoms are great, if used every time, and are of quality, and latex, and if they don't tear, rip or slip off (i.e., if the man doesnt cum in it). But over time, man after man, the two lines come closer and closer together. In other words, for men or women who get fucked often by a variety of men, using different techniques, different brands, and allowing the man to cum inside you (always a mistake), the chances of being infected with or without a condom are nearly equal. I learned this the hard way believing in that safer sex crap, I was infected. The scariest words in the English language are: Oops. The condom broke. It is time to stop this safer sex shit, because it really is a PC lie. There is no way to be repeatedly fucked without getting fucked. Period. Thats not a moral judgment; that is reality.

Hello K,

". . . the chances of being infected with or without a condom are nearly equal."????

". . . it's time to stop this safer sex shit because it really is a P.C. lie."????

". . . there is no way to be repeatedly fucked without getting fucked. Period."????

Sorry, pal. I profoundly disagree with all of the above conclusions. That fact is that HIV cannot permeate intact latex. No way. No how.

Protected sex is indeed protective if a latex condom is used correctly and does not fail.

The scariest words in the English language are not "oops; the condom broke." Sure, that's frightening, but not nearly as terrifying as "President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney." At least the "oops" situation still carries fairly good odds you won't be infected, and there is also PEP (post-exposure prophylaxis), which can significantly decrease the risk of acquiring HIV if started quickly after an exposure. However, with Dubya, a blundering, bumbling, intellectual midget, we're all well and truly f***ked!

As an AIDS activist, you should not let your own unfortunate experience cloud your judgment regarding HIV prevention and safer (not "absolutely safe") sexual practices.
