| reoccuring anal warts Aug 31, 2006 Dr.Frascino, I was exposed to HPV many years ago. Had extensive anal surgery to remove the warts. Reoccured 3 years ago and my PCP burned them off in his office. I feel them coming back, I often run when I do. I am a RN, and I am seeing a lot of anal carcinoma latey. I dont trust my PCP any more, office has growned, leaving it sloppy now, and uncaring. Should I see a dermatologist. They are currently small enough to take care of in a doctors office. I dont know who to see or trust now. A proctologist perhaps? HELP!!!! |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hi, Recurrent anal warts can be a real pain in the ass . . . . If they are all external, which you may not know without a physician actually examining the anal canal and rectal cavity, then a dermatologist should be able to treat your warts. If internal warts are present, you'll need a proctologist or general surgeon to excise them. Good luck. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
