| Student Nurse needs clarification. Jul 18, 2006 Dr. Bob, My test is drawing real close, 3 weeks left of my 3 month window. I've posted the same question 3 times now and the last thing i want is to be a pain in the arse, i really appreciate the work you do, but i need an answer to clear up a serious worry. Currently taking Bupropion (Zyban) 300mg daily to beat my nicotine addiction, and a miconazole 2% & hydracortisone 1% cream (its for a red blotch). Will either of these affect the results of an antibody test? I hope you answer, i need to know that this test will be conclusive. Student Nurse. |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hello Student Nurse, Never fear; Dr. Bob is here! Neither your Zyban nor topical miconazole/hydrocortisone cream will have any affect on the validity of your HIV test results. Yes, your test result will be definitive and conclusive. I'm sending my best good-luck karma that the result will be "negative." Good luck. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
