please accept donation Jun 27, 2006 dear dr bob please accept the donation that will follow this question in a little while i was recently cut by a razor in my bathroom (i share a house) it was an accident when i picked it up to move it i dont know if anyone is infected with anything but it is possible i guess could i have been infected with HIV or HEPATITS or anything else if there was blood on the razor i would really appreciate a responce. thank you doctor you are wonderful -ally |

 Hello Ally, Your chances of contracting HIV or hepatitis from being cut by a razor are remote at best. These viruses do not live very long outside the body; however, if you are worried, the option of getting an HIV test at the three-month mark is always open to you.
