Hey there Dr Bob,
I am writing to this forum to tell all those people from ABSTINENCE ONLY backgrounds that attempting to follow this kind of lifestyle is not only difficult for some but realistically, is more dangerous.
Take my case for example. I am now 32, been having sex for about 13 years. Initially tried to follow abstinence only regime (ie didn't carry condoms with me out on the town) and ended up getting gonorrhoea through unprotected sex. Now I always carry condoms and have enjoyed 13 years of pleasurable, worry free, STD free (including HIV) sex. And, I could guaruntee that I would have contracted something by now. So my advice, USE CONDOMS every time, don't RELY ON ABSTINENCE and you'll be fine!
Michael in Memphis.
PS: keep up the good work doc!
