Today, June 5, 2006, is the 25th anniversary of the first published reports of the disease that would eventually be called AIDS, a disease that has killed 25 million and infected 65 million. But instead of using this auspicious day to discuss the AIDS pandemic and recommit our efforts for prevention, treatment and finding a cure, our fearless leader Dubya, the Boy King, devoted his time to pushing a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, essentially trying to write discrimination into the Constitution. It's amazing he has stooped so low as to try to divert the nation's attention to issues that divide and distract rather than face real, disastrous problems here and abroad AIDS, poverty, Iraq, the economy, the deficit, Iran, global warming, etc., etc., etc. BRAVO Dubya! Just when we all thought you couldn't possibly become more despicable, it appears we have "misunderestimated" your capacity for truly immoral behavior.
