unprotected bleeding oral sex May 22, 2006 Hi Dr Bob, I had unprotected oral sex with a prostitute(HIV status unknown) and I had a foreskin tear which led to me bleeding in her mouth .... I immediately rushed to the hospital and got the wound clean up with antibiotics and after that a circumcision operation ... My question is what are the chances of me getting infected with AIDS ...?? Thank you ... |

 Hello, One would think from this scenario that it would be the Hoover-hooker who was dashing to the hospital concerned about HIV. Oh well, who knows? Maybe she did. Your overall HIV risk remains remarkably low; however, particularly because of the foreskin trauma and active bleeding, I would recommend an ELISA test at the three-month mark. Good luck!
