 Hello, I would recommend you continue using condoms with your wife until your final HIV follow-up test confirms your negative HIV status. If, for instance, you are a health care worker who had a significant enough exposure to warrant PEP, the US Public Health Service Guidelines recommend follow-up HIV testing out to six months. The HIV specialist following your case should be able to give you a specific recommendation based on the specifics of your case. Good luck. Dr. Bob | ||||||||
