 Hello, They told you what??? I'm not sure which AIDS foundation hotline you called, but let's hope whoever gave you that inaccurate (and potentially dangerous) advice has been fired for incompetence! The information he/she gave couldn't be any more wrong. Cuts, sores and/or visible blood are not prerequisites for acquiring HIV if you are an HIV-negative top barebacking an HIV-positive bottom. The estimated per-act risk for acquiring HIV from unprotected insertive anal sex with a poz partner is 6.5 per 10,000 exposures. Dr. Bob | ||||||||
