getting AIDS
Sep 21, 2005

To be clear; If I'm clean and I have sexual intercourse with an HIV positive or somebody with AIDS, and there is not any cuts or bleeding spots, Am I in risk to get AIDS or the virus. According to my knowlege HIV or AIDS is only transmited by the blood stream. I'm right or wrong?

Claudia.

Response from Dr. Frascino

Hello Claudia,

You are wrong.

Unprotected sex with someone who is HIV positive places you at risk for STDs, including HIV. I just can't be any clearer than that. Spend some time reading the basic safer sex information on this site and related links, O.K.?
