Response from Dr. Frascino
Hi, No. However, remember once someone is confirmed to be HIV positive, they usually wouldn't be writing to me in the Safe Sex/HIV Prevention Forum. Poz folks ask me questions in the Fatigue/Anemia Forum or address specific concerns to the other experts in the other forums. There are anecdotal reports of folks claiming to have seroconverted as a result of receptive oral sex. Of course, actually proving, after-the-fact, this was their only risk activity or that there were no extenuating circumstances is essentially impossible. Consequently, we rely on large epidemiological studies that suggest the risk of HIV transmission from oral sex is very low at best. Hope that helps. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
