Desperately seeking rational voice on test result
Jun 26, 2005
By my generous approximation, my last potential exposure to HIV was oral sex that occurred 26 weeks ago. (It may have actually been 27 or 28 weeks ago). I was tested with ELISA last week and it came back negative. Am I safely enough beyond the window period to trust that I am negative? Thank you so much for your help. This website is a great resource.

Personally I would have said you were "safely enough beyond the window period to trust that I am negative" when you hit week 13. So to answer your specific question, yep!
Stay safe. Stay well.
