| Travel to Kenya with HIV meds Nov 18, 2004 I'll be going with several people living with HV to Kenya Feb.2005. What's the best wayt to pack our meds to prevent problems with customs, etc? Not just me, but about 15 others taking their own meds./ Rob & Raphael , et al |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hi Guys, I recommend everyone traveling with medications get a letter from their doctor that states the traveler is under that doctor's care and taking the medications listed in the letter. A diagnosis does not need to be included, just that the traveler is under the physician's care for a "medical condition" that requires the medications listed. The letter should be on the physician's stationery with a contact number given in case there is any question. That usually does the trick and is exactly what I do on my travels. Bon Voyage!
