Could magic mushrooms and weed affect the HIV test result Sep 4, 2004 Hi Bob my hero! Could magic mushroom and/or weed affect the result of a HIV test. Are there any drugs (legal or illegal) that could have any possible affects on an test. I'v asked my boyfriend to take a test but I know that he took some or one magic mushroom this weekend, im worried that the test may be inconclusive due to this. thanks for being here Much Love to you Bob |

 Hi, Magic mushrooms and weed do not affect the results of HIV tests. Certainly prescription drugs that significantly suppress the immune response could affect HIV test results; however, it would be highly unlikely your trippy boyfriend would be on any of these. Stay well. Dr. Bob | ||||||||
