| Very Nervous- 12 week negative test but having Peripheral Neurosis sensations Nov 29, 2003 Dr. Bob, You're a great source of help for people and I intend to send a donation. I've been experiencing wierd tinlges/sensations in my legs and sometimes arms for sometime now. I've tested negative at 4 wks,8 wks and recently at 12 weeks. Is it safe to assume that these P.N. type sensations are related to something else? Please advise. |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hello Very Nervous, Although I don't know what a "tinlge" is, I think you are correct! Your symptoms are due to "peripheral neurosis." However, with three negative HIV tests out to 12 weeks, they are not related to HIV "peripheral neuropathy!" Please note: Neurosis is a psychological disorder consisting of feelings of anxiety, obsessive thoughts, and physical complaints without objective evidence of disease. Neuropathy, on the other hand, is a disease of the nervous system. Thank you for your donation! Stay well, Dr. Bob | |||||||||
