|Swollen lymph nodes without any other infection!
Apr 13, 2003
I accidently used someone's shaving razor about one month back. About two weeks ago, I started having symptoms like skin rashes, fatigue, excessive itching on the body. After a week, things became better, but yesterday, rash appeared again, and I have swollen glands below the neck, on the jaw. I do not have any visible infection or flue and do not have swelling elsewhere. I have never had any swollen glands before. Is having swollen lymph nodes without any infection indicative of HIV.

You can't determine your status based on symptoms that you are experiencing. And you should definitely avoid this if you didn't have sexual or needle-sharing exposures.
Always have symptoms that concern you or that persist checked out by your doctor.
The CDC hasn't documented any cases of transmission through using the razor of an HIV infected person. While transmission is always possible when coming into contact with HIV infected blood, getting infected through sharing a razor remains highly unlikely.
