| MASTURBATION CONFUSED Please reply Mar 17, 2003 I was told by CDC that masturbation is not a risk. Ryan had stated this in his answers and now Dr. Frascino wrote in his response to qn. titled PLEASE this doesn't happen often "your risk of acquiring HIV from masturbation is essentially non-existent." essentially non-existent is that the same as very low risk or no risk essentially non-existent seems contradictory to those who say it is no risk Can you explain this please |

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hello, You've got to be kidding, right? You think "essentially non-existent" is "contradictory to no risk?" "Essentially" means "in essence." Non-existent means "does not exist." Put it all together and what do you have? "In essence does not exist." I would be happy to shorten that to "no risk" for those of you who insist on trying to live in a black and white universe of absolutes, even though no such world exists. Dr. Bob | |||||||||
