| Worried Feb 18, 2003 Hi Ryan please help me clear up this confusion. I recieved oral sex from an escort with a condom and then she put one more condom on top for vaginal sex. Doesnt the base of the penis make contact with some vaginal fluids ? I dont have any cuts or sores. Thanks Worried |

Response from Mr. Kull
HIV is only transmitted when infected fluids come into contact with mucous membranes or the bloodstream. The base of your penis consists of skin, which serves as a barrier to HIV. Skin that comes into contact with another person who has a sexually transmitted infection can pose a risk. Certain STIs, like herpes, genital warts, and syphilis, can be transmitted from one person to another even when condoms are used. RMK | |||||||||
