lymph nodes and irritated glans
Feb 16, 2003
Two days after an unprotected heterosexual encounter, I started experiencing swollen lymph nodes and an irritated glans. I've felt these symptoms now for a week. Should I worry about a possible HIV infection?
Response from Mr. Kull
HIV infection is possible if you have sex (anal, vaginal, and oral) with an HIV infected person. Don't attempt to figure out your status based on some random symptoms that you are experiencing. Get tested at three months after exposure if you consider yourself to be at risk.
Also, see a doctor about your symptoms.
