| Instant Home Test Kits Jan 28, 2003 Hello Has there been any examination RECENTLY on the reliability of the 20-40 home test kits...where you drop a sample of blood and wait a few minutes for a result. I understand that the FDA does not like them for a few reasons, one being there is no counselling....but apart from that - are these tests totally unrealiable - or actually very reliable? I understand about 2-3 years there was controversy about one maker selling faulty kits, but I have heard nothing lately...are these kits ok? thanks |

Response from Mr. Kull
No, they're not okay. There have been more than a few people selling false home testing kits, and the FDA has been warning the public about this for some time. The only home testing kit approved by the FDA is Home Access; you shouldn't trust anything else. RMK | |||||||||
