Jan 19, 2003
Dear Ryan, I'm Indonesian, Live in Jakarta. I had unprotected oral sex with
female prostitute in September 2, 2002. Then about 3 month later, on 3
headache for about 5 days. I went to a doctor and had my blood test. The
result was I get thypoid fever. On January 13, 2003, I had an HIV test, and
the result was negative. Now, I have a dizziness, sore throat, and several
red blotchs on my back, feet, and chest. Is this an HIV symptoms? Do I have
to retest? Please give me your opinion. I'm very scared! Please....
Response from Mr. Kull
Testing three or more months after exposure is considered accurate, so retesting is not necessary. Continue to consult with your doctor about symptoms that you experience.
