bumps on nose
Nov 8, 2002

hi doctor, my question is is it possible that hiv could cause me to get 3 little red bumps on the bottom of my nose less than 3 days after exposure.. i also felt a wierd sensation come over me not sure how to explain it however..in the following weeks i had nightsweats, muscle aches, fever etc then i developed a rash on my forehead seborrhoic dermatitis... have you ever heard of anyone getting bumps under there nose? thank you

Response from Mr. Kull

I'm not aware of bumps around the nose being indicative of recent HIV infection. Don't try to diagnose your HIV status based on symptoms alone: start with your risk. If you have unprotected vaginal or anal sex with a person known to be HIV infected or at significant risk for infection, then and only then should symptoms be considered a possibility. This should always be done in consultation with an expert physician.
