question about syringe....... plzzz help DR KULLJul 29, 2002 hi is it possible to get hiv through syringe because i visted a pathology lab{ONE OF THE BEST IN THE TOWN} i didnt notice the syringe whether it was new or not but with which u suck{THE LEVER} the blood was down the needle looked fresh and there was no blood on the tip? there was a gap of about three minutes between me and the patient before she was a lady with her husband? |

![]() | Response from Mr. KullThere is no evidence that HIV has been transmitted to anyone through having their blood drawn for HIV testing or blood donation. Labs are required to use a new syringe for each patient. RMK | ||||||||
