question about syringe....... plzzz help DR KULL
Jul 29, 2002

hi is it possible to get hiv through syringe because i visted a pathology lab{ONE OF THE BEST IN THE TOWN} i didnt notice the syringe whether it was new or not but with which u suck{THE LEVER} the blood was down the needle looked fresh and there was no blood on the tip? there was a gap of about three minutes between me and the patient before she was a lady with her husband?

Response from Mr. Kull

There is no evidence that HIV has been transmitted to anyone through having their blood drawn for HIV testing or blood donation. Labs are required to use a new syringe for each patient.
