water and masturbation
May 10, 2002

we have a bidet in our home which I sometimes use to pleasure myself. I was wondering if you can catch any infections through shooting water up this way at my clitoris. I would have the same risk of catching an infection by drinking water wouldn't I? I like to do this but I don't want to continue if it is unsafe...I think I have been to too many microbiology classes. Thanks for your answer

Response from Mr. Kull

This shouldn't pose a problem for sexually transmitted infections, since you are not coming into direct contact with another person's body or fluids.
