test terminology Mar 22, 2002 greetings, and thanks very much for the great work you are doing for the world community. my question: is a elisa test result of non-reactive the same as negative. i suspect there are different terminologies amongst the medical community. thanks |

 Non-reactive is the more technically accurate term to describe an "HIV negative" result, meaning no antibodies to HIV were detected. Check out HIV Testing Basics for more information. RMK | ||
