Response from Mr. Kull
Hey. I'm doing great, thanks for asking. There's lots of things that people can do sexually that greatly reduces the odds of HIV infection/transmission. The main activities to avoid are unprotected insertive and receptive anal sex (fucking or being fucked without a condom). Unprotected anal sex is the most efficient way to transmit HIV. Oral sex is a bit of a gray area; your friend can transmit HIV to someone performing oral sex on him, but the risk is low, and much lower than having unprotected anal sex. So there are some tough decisions to make around that. Latex condoms, when used correctly and consistently, are extremely effective in preventing the transmission of HIV. Some studies found that when HIV infected persons used condoms all of the time with their negative partners, HIV was never, and sometimes rarely, transmitted. So condoms, while not always easy to use, are a great way to prevent transmission. Generally, any sexual activity that does not include anal, vaginal and oral sex is highly unlikely to transmit HIV. This is true because there isn't any evidence to support other routes of sexual transmission (like mutual masturbation). Infected fluids need to come into contact with mucous membranes or have other access to your bloodstream in order for infection to be possible. RMK | |||||||||
