urine &Watersports
Aug 6, 2004

Dear DOC Do you consider watersports as perversion and any risk concerning Hiv. thanks

Response from Dr. Frascino

Hi,

No, in fact I love to surf, water ski, swim, and snorkel . . . . Oh, you mean the kind of water sports we won't be seeing in Athens next week (at least not on TV. anyway). I'm completely nonjudgmental, so whatever floats your boat is OK by me, so long as you are not harming yourself or others. In that regard, I should mention urine is a sterile fluid. It does not contain HIV. Contact with urine, therefore, does not constitute an HIV risk. (Same story for sweat and tears.)

Stay well.

Dr. Bob
