Response from Dr. Frascino

Hello,
1. The qualitative HIV DNA PCR test is not recommended for routine HIV screening. Consequently, I can't advise you as to whether an undetectable 30 day test is conclusive or not. All negative or undetectable tests are encouraging but the recommended diagnostic test for HIV screening is an HIV-antibody test at the three-month mark.
2. No. These are completely different tests.
3. There was no question #3!
