I have recently taken 3 home HIV tests, two were from Idiagnostics 1 urine & 1 blood (apparantley) approved by the WHO which give home results within 15 minutes, both were negative. I then carried out a Saliva home sampling test administered and regulated in the UK by DRTHOM.com which uses a cozart slaiva collection device which is then posted and analysed in a lab to 97% accuracy, this also proved negative.
I have had sypmtoms for over 7 months, the longest running of these being fatigue and enlarged lymph nodes in my neck. I have been tested for monoclueosis which was negative and also had blood count and other std test perfromed, all were normal.
My exposure was 'significant' and over 7 months ago. So really my question is, considering the continuing sypmtoms, can I rely on these results or should I have further testing to ensure that I am indeed negative. (plus if I am negative, what is wrong with me?!)
I appreciate your time and am making a $50 donation to your admirable foundation.

Response from Dr. Frascino
Hello Worried and Confused in the UK,
I don't have personal experience with any of the home HIV test kits you used, as they are not FDA-approved for use in the US. (My European colleagues advise they are reliable.)
Unfortunately I can't diagnose the cause of your symptoms over the Internet. If you remain concerned or if the symptoms are persistent, you should see your general physician for an evaluation.
Thank you for your donation to the Robert James Frascino AIDS Foundation (www.concertedeffort.org).
Be well. I'm confident HIV is not your problem.
Dr. Bob
