Susan, My friend has been off meds since the end of last year due to resistance. We are waiting for a new combination to come out so he doesn't become resistant too fast to a single med. When can we expect something to be available. He's feeling good, but getting pretty anxious about it. Thank you, Linda

I would contact your closest major HIV care provider in your city and/or a university HIV research program to see if there are any drugs which may be available through expanded access or through a research study which could be of benefit to your friend. I am only guessing, but I believe it is going to be several months to perhaps a year before we have new licensed agends. I would look hard at these other possible options.
